The Tactical Buyer is responsible for performing, reviewing, and maintaining all planning, scheduling, and order releasing activities for their individually assigned products to ensure that customer delivery commitments are met. These parts include master scheduled parts, assembled end items, machined components, and purchased parts:
- Machined components – lathe/turned parts, etc.
- Raw materials – aluminum & steel blocks
- Coils
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production material activities for manufacturing products. This involves the creation and execution of purchase and/or work orders within the ERP system.
- Execute supplier procurement plans and/or internal production plans to fulfill requirements for both internal and external customers.
- Implement and/or maintain replenishment systems such as consignment, vendor-managed inventory, and supplier linking.
- Ensure that product is available to meet production requirements, while minimizing net working capital.
- Drive inventory reductions. Provide reporting, visibility, follow-up and work cross-functionally to meet expected levels.
- Review inventories for excess and obsolescence.
- Support Engineering changes and new product releases. Mitigate inventory impacts related to product phase-outs.
- Maintain planning parameters including Safety Stocks, Multiples, and Planning Periods.
- Manage supplier delivery schedules.
- Establish and manage ongoing relationships with suppliers.
- Integrate supply chain through advanced procurement methods.
- Evaluate supply base weekly for potential delivery or quality problems. Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
- Resolve ASN or PO discrepancies.
Requirements
- Must have 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Must have 1+ year experience in a Purchasing and/or Production Planning role in a formal MRP environment.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Experience with pull systems & working in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills and experience required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point preferred.
- APICS Certification is preferred.

Bosch Rexroth – Fountain Inn, SC
Contract position (5-6 months), some potential to be hired on permanently at the end of the contract depending on work performance.
Hours: M-F 8-5, some occasional OT
Main job duties:
- OEM sales planning/forecasting for the axial and radial piston product group
- Collect and analyze distributor supplied forecasting against capacities to determine the capability of meeting the demand forecast.
- Load forecasting data into SAP.
- Review market requirements and make assumptions to add forecasting for unanticipated demand.
- Continuously monitor, maintain and update forecasting data in SAP.
- Assist management with the preparation of the annual business planning.
- Research capabilities to acknowledge sales orders for un-forecasted and unplanned product.
- Work closely with customer support, MRP controllers and purchasing to coordinate customer demand and delivery capabilities.
- Coordinate with manufacturing facilities overseas to communicate requirements and determine delivery capabilities for resale items to the market.
- Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels.
Requirements
- Must have 2 or 4-yr degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Must have 3+ years of experience as a Planner in the manufacturing industry, handling MRP, planning, procurement and/or forecasting
- Must have experience with component/production planning
- Must have strong written/verbal communication skills
- Must be detail oriented, proactive and willing to take initiative
- Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Must have experience with an ERP related MRP-driven operating system, SAP experience preferred
- Project management/capacity planning experience a plus

- Source suppliers within North American arena in consideration of quality, reliability of source and process improvements.

Requirements:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% (U.S., Mexico, Germany); must have or be eligible to obtain a U.S. passport
