Meetings for the 2011 year will be on approximately a quarterly basis. Information for each meeting will be posted as it is finalized. Upcoming Meeting Our next meeting will be December 6th. Topic: The Current Trends in Supply Chain Hiring. Human Technologies; an HR Solutions company located here in Upstate SC with expertise in recruiting, training, consulting and outplacement services; will present on the current trends regionally with what companies are doing in regards to recruiting, hiring and compensating of Supply Chain and Purchasing professionals. In addition they will have their staff available for a roundtable forum to answer questions about their services and what is going on in the local industries. www.htijobs.com We will also have the annual Awards Presentations for the newly named "The Anthony Napoli Outstanding Purchasing Professional" (formally the TOPP Award) and the "William C Erwin Award". The Anthony Napoli Outstanding Purchasing Professional Award is presented to a member that has demonstrated a level of achievement and participation in the Upper SC Chapter. The criteria for the award are holding positions of leadership and/or exceptional service, regular attendance at Chapter meetings, recommendation by at least one person in the Chapter, and length of membership in Chapter (minimum of two years). The William C Erwin Award is presented to a member for their continuing service based on the number of years of continuous membership in the Upper SC Chapter. Additional criteria includes past service on the Chapter's Board of Directors and Chapter committees, regular attendance at ISM-CV Quarterly meetings, corporate support by employer and CPM designation. The meeting will consist of 3 segments;

Cancellations: Any member or non-member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00pm on the Sunday prior to the meeting, will not be credited the cost of the meeting. Membership Meeting Schedule 2010-2011 (1st Tuesday) This year the Board decided to change our membership meeting schedule from the first Thursday of the month to the first Tuesday, so as not to conflict with the Thursday night festivities in downtown Greenville. All members should attend. April 5, 2007 - Topic: TBA. May 3, 2007 - Final meeting of the year. Topic: “Meeting the Challenges of RoHS” by Donna McMahan with Newark. The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
